एक computer organization किसी भी digital कंप्यूटर system के विभिन्न units के functions और design describes करता हैं।
एक general-purpose वाला कंप्यूटर system का सबसे बड़ा example हैं। अन्य examples में telephone, मोबाइल, डिजिटल वाल्टमीटर, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक कैलकुलेटर, डिजिटल डिस्प्ले आदि हैं।
Computer architecture एक instruction का set हैं और instruction को implement करने वाले hardware units से संबंधित हैं।
किसी भी कंप्यूटर hardware में electronic circuits, डिस्प्ले, magnetic, ऑप्टिक स्टोरेज मीडिया, communication facilities भी शामिल होती हैं।

आदि को मुख्य रूप से use किया जाता हैं।
लेकिन keyboard सबसे ज्यादा use किये जाने वाला input device हैं। जब भी हम keyboard में कोई button दबाते हैं। तो उस button से संबंधित letter या digit automatically binary code में translated हो जाता हैं।

memory units को storage area भी कह सकते हैं। किसी भी कंप्यूटर में memory के अंदर कंप्यूटर के वे प्रोग्राम रखे जाते हैं जो running stage में होते हैं।
Memory unit को दो पार्ट में विभाजित किया जा सकता हैं। primary memory दूसरी secondary memory
कंप्यूटर के processor में running stage applications का execution करता हैं और एक temporarily memory में स्टोर करता हैं। जिसे हम RAM भी कहते हैं।
किसी भी कंप्यूटर के अंदर Primary storage काफी तेज होती हैं। जिसे हम RAM (Random-access memory) भी कहा जाता हैं। इसमें information store करने के लिए कम space होता हैं।
इसे हम volatile memory या RAM (Random-access memory) कह सकते हैं volatile का मतलब होता हैं। जब भी हम आपने कंप्यूटर को off या बंद करते हैं Primary storage या RAM (Random-access memory) में मौजूद सभी information lost कर देते हैं।
हमारे कंप्यूटर में एक और memory होती हैं जिसे Cache memory कहा जाता हैं। ये memory RAM (Random-access memory) से भी तेज होती हैं। इस memory की हेल्प से data को काफी तेज fetch कर सकते हैं।
Primary memory का सबसे अच्छा Example RAM (Random-access memory) हैं।
Secondary memory का use तब किया जाता हैं। जब कोई बड़ी information या प्रोग्राम लंबे समय तक stored करना होता हैं। Secondary memory store information कंप्यूटर को बंद करने के बाद भी स्टोर रहती हैं।
Secondary memory का सबसे अच्छा उदाहरण optical disks हैं।

Computer के सभी arithmetic और logical operations में से all most सभी operations Computer processor के ALU (Arithmetic and Logical Unit) पार्ट में ही execute होते हैं। जैसे- addition, subtraction, multiplication, division और logical operations

अब बात करते हैं कंप्यूटर के control unit की तो control unit कंप्यूटर के CPU ( central processing unit ) का ही एक भाग हैं। इस का कंप्यूटर के अंदर मुख्य use कंप्यूटर की memory, arithmetic/logic unit और input , output devices के प्रोग्राम को instructions देता हैं।
कंप्यूटर के अंदर control unit को computer system का nerve center भी कह सकते हैं।

कंप्यूटर के अंदर output unit का primary work user को processed results भेजना हैं। Output information को इस प्रकार display करता हैं जिसको user समझ सके।
